After a short break and a move, Nick started back racing in the very competitive Costessey Flying club, flying north with the Norwich North Road Championship club and the North Road Championship club.
In his first season, he won the club points and averages with his team of young birds, winning the NNRCC and topping the section in the NRCC, this to a very unfavourable position in club and Fed.
Many in the area said "he’s thrashed his young bird team, you won’t see him for dust next season” yet he came out stronger, with a team of yearlings.
He was Club and Fed Champion on points. In the North Road Championship Club, his birds dominated the results, not with a lucky timer, he was clocking one after another, right out to 450 miles.
Same thing again in 2019, the birds were phenomenal, week after week, with a bit of age, the birds then excelled in the NRCC, winning the old bird averages, exceptional flying with a team of exceptional pigeons.
In 2020, Nick had a change of direction, flying south in the Norwich South Road Championship Club and East Anglian Fed.
His team of youngsters dominated the results, seven races, seven wins, multiple drops every week, the youngsters flew their socks off.
As yearlings this season, they didn’t miss a beat, winning 8 out of the ten races entered.
Nick doesn’t normally sell pigeons, however, the very few he has let go have all bred and won.
They have also won locally for others, Gordon Cockaday had one, topped the fed and finished up old bird of the year.
His ex racing partner, Bob Frew had a full brother in the next round and topped the fed; Bob has a loft full of winning pigeons through Nick’s pigeons.
David Fox, bought one in a breeder buyer, scored three weeks on the bounce.
These birds are not just winning locally, they’ve won and bred winners all over the UK, not many leave his lofts.
Now in the process of moving again, Nick is making a fresh start, this is your chance to get your hands on some proven blood, fast or slow, these pigeons come to the front in the very best of competition.
These young pigeon have been bred especially for the three auctions, none have been raced.
